Choose the Best Location
Location Overview
Growing MicroGreens is easy; keep them close to your kitchen for quick access and daily care reminders. Also, make sure there’s electricity nearby for your lights.
Assure your MicroGreens are growing in a balanced environment. Avoid locations where they will be harassed by pets or be exposed to extremes of cold or heat.
Temperature
The best temperature for growing MicroGreens is between 60°F and 75°F (15°C to 24°C). This helps the plants grow well and stay healthy. Keep in mind that windows and drafts from open doors can change the temperature in some areas.
Humidity
The best humidity for growing MicroGreens is between 35 and 50% humidity. Fortunately, this is also the humidity level of the typical US kitchen according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)145
Water Quality
The best water for your MicroGreens has a neutral pH of 6-6.5, which is common in most homes. If your water smells like chlorine and you don’t filter it, let it sit in a pitcher for 24 hours to allow the chlorine to dissipate before using it on your delicate young plants.
Assemble your Kit

- Choose a target location near an electrical outlet.
- Most choose a location near their kitchen
- Assemble the rack and lights
- Use four spacers (straws) under the Coco Coir Pads
- Use at 4-8 wooden picks in the lids to rest on top of the trays during germination phase
- You remove lids and move trays under lights during the vegetation phase
